Warming moxibustion is a combination of acupuncture and moxibustion, also known as acupuncture handle moxibustion. That is, in the process of acupuncture and needle retention, the moxa pillar on the needle handle is ignited, and the burning heat of the moxa pillar is transmitted to the acupuncture points through the needle body to stimulate specific areas or acupuncture points.
This method has the effect of dampening the meridians, promoting Qi and blood circulation. It is suitable for symptoms of severe cold and dampness, blocked meridians, such as arthralgia and rough skin.
The main stimulation area of warm needling moxibustion is body point, Ashi point. First take a filiform needle with a length of more than 1.5 inches, and after piercing the acupuncture point to get Qi, take a moxa stick during the needle retention process, ignite it and put it on the needle handle.
